Youth Program

Pre-Cub Scout is for young children age from 5 to 8.  The Pre-Cub Promise is “I love myself, I love everybody”. The program is focused on self, family, community and introduce Pre-Cub to continue his/her journey to Cub Scout.

 

Our Cub Scout Program is still based on the Jungle Books.  The Pack meeting will start with the Grand Howl.  Cub Scout will be called as “Little Wolf” in Chinese. Yung people at the age of 8 to 12 may join the Cub Scout. Pack meeting will be held once or twice a month depending the Pack plan.  Cub Scout Pack will also organized summer camp or winter camp.

 



Scouting in Taiwan is school-based.  Young at the age of 11 to 15 may attend the Scout Troop in his/her school.  Scout Program focus on outdoor activities, including hiking and camping.  Scout Troop also conduct many service projects, such as community service and Messenger of Peace Project, etc.

Our Senior Scout Program is designed for young people at the age of 14 to 18.  This age group is for students at Senior High Schools.  Senior Scout Program provides more outdoor adventure and service opportunities.  There are six ranks from Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, the Lion, the Great Wall, and the National Flower Award, which is the highest rank.  These six ranks are both for Scout and Senior Scout sections.



 

Rover Program is designed for young people at the age of 17 to 26.  The program emphasizes adventure, social activities, services and personal development.


Our youth program is co-ed, male and female members can be mixed in one patrol to promote teamwork and leadership skills.  Although our Scouting is school-based, there are community-based Scouting or open units in major city and towns.

National Jamboree will be held every 4 to 6 years. National Rover Moot and National Rover Conference are organized by young people for young people. Local Scout Councils has many scouting opportunities, such as summer camp, advancement camp, camporee or international exchange programs.
