TGASC-Taiwan had a partnership project “Scout Day” with Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store and Decathlon Sport Retailer to promote Scouting image and also try to recruit young people to join Scouting.

Scout Day is a half day activity which provides Scouting experiences to young kids age from 5 to 12. Shin Kong Mitsukoshi and Decathlon invited their customers and young kids to sign up and join the Scout Day activities.

Scout Leaders arranged different base activities and taught these young kids how to tie knots, tent pitching and play fun games. Kids were excited about these activities and games. Customers and parents asked about how to join Scouting while they were shopping for outdoor equipment.

The Scout Day was held in Shin Kong Mitsukoshi on Saturday 1 October and in Decathlon in Taoyuan and Taiwan on Sunday 2 October. There were some 100 kids participated in Shin Kong Mitsukoshi and Decathlon this weekend.
