Our Scout Association had just published a set of documentary books, titled as the Heritage and Innovation of Scouting in Taiwan 2022.

 

These three books record our achievement in Participation to International Events, Program and Activities at National level and the Renovation of the Yangmingshan Scout Center from 2015 to 2022. Under the leadership of Mr. Lin You-Chang, Chairman and Chief Commissioner, our Scout Association conduct many national events, like the 11th National Scout Jamboree in 2018, GSAT Certified in 2019, and organized many contingents to International Events, such as 24th World Scout Jamboree and World Scout Moot.

TGASC-Taiwan organized the National Scouts Day Celebration at the Yangmingshan Scout Center. March 5th is the National Scouts Day. The events was presided by Chief Commissioner, Mr. Lin, Yu-Chang. Mr. Pan, Wen-Chung, Minister of Education also attended the event.
 

 
President Tsai reminded everyone to keep the Scout Motto, to be prepared, to do a good turn daily and to serve as goal of life, and to make impact to Taiwan society and also to the World. President Tsai also congratulated Mr. Lin for his leadership and contribution to the development of Scouting in Taiwan for the past 6 years.

The celebration also presented the highest award, the National Flower Award to some 50 scouts and long service award to many scout leaders. A Scout Fun Fair was conduct followed the celebration ceremony. The Fun Fair provided many learning opportunities for participants, such as STEM, Scout Skills, Safe from Harm, SDGs, MOP, etc.














 

 

Our Scout Association will host the celebration ceremony for 2022 National Scouts Day at the Yangmingshan Scout Center on Saturday 19 March 2022. Program includes award presentation to Unit of the Year 2022, National Flower Award and many others. A Scout Fun Fair will be organized for participants, including Scout Skills, MOP project and STEM activities, etc.

 March 5th is the National Scouts Day. Local councils will organize celebration events on this day.

Dr. Yang, Yung-Chin elected as Member of APR Scout Committee

Dr. Yang, Yung-Chin was elected as Member of Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee 2022-2028 during the recent-held online 27th APR Scout Conference in February 2022.

Dr. Yang, Yung-Chin serves as Chairman of National Rover and Youth Committee and Deputy International Commissioner, TGASC-Taiwan.  He has passion in Scouting and believe in young people.  Dr. Yang is a professor of National Taipei University of Technology, he has worked hard to blend more elements of science education into Scouting education in Taiwan.

2022 MOP Local Coordinator Workshop was held in Taichung

2022 MOP Local Coordinator Workshop was held on 20 February at Taichung Municipal Taichung Industrial High School, Taichung.  Some 37 Scouts and Leaders participated in this Workshop and learned more about MOP project and exchanged ideas and experiences.

MOP Coordinator, Mr. Sherman Sheng and Ms. Alice Chen conduct this workshop with the support from Mr. Jonas Chao, Member of International Relations Committee. 

Participant shared their reflection about the workshop, they said they had more thought on the definition of peace and will try to seek ways to promote Peace in their daily life.

Give me five, Welcome to Taiwan in 2025. Our Scout Association won the bidding to host the 28th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference 2025. The decision was made during the recent-held 27th APR Scout Conference online. Taiwan was chosen to host the 27th APR Scout Conference in 2021. The conference was postponed and the date was changed to February 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our Scout Association extend our sincere and warm welcome for you to come to Taiwan in 2025 and to celebrate the achievement of our great APR region together.
 

Mr. Lee Yao-Chwen is appointed as Head of Contingent to 25th World Scout Jamboree in 2023.Mr. Lee had participated many international Jamborees and events, he also helped our Scout Association to organize contingent to many World Scout Jamborees.

Dr. Ie-Bin Lian, International Commissioenr, Mr. Yang, Yung-Chin, Chairman of National Rover and Youth Committee and Mr. Wang, Fu-Ming, Advisor to National PR Committee are also appointed to work as core member of CMT.
